AIRE Awards -

The Antelope Valley Air Quality Management District (AVAQMD) invites you to apply for the 2007/2008 William J. “Pete” Knight Memorial Achievement In Reducing Emissions (AIRE) Awards, which recognize businesses, industries, agencies, organizations, schools and/or individuals ("Nominee") who have made outstanding contributions to local air quality by reducing and/or preventing air pollution emissions within the Antelope Valley.

The purpose of these unique Awards is to celebrate the innovative and creative spirit of District constituents who have demonstrated an exceptional commitment to clean air through the development of voluntary air pollution reduction and prevention efforts. In turn, it is hoped that the achievements of AIRE Award recipients will inspire others to find innovative and effective ways of protecting the Antelope Valley’s air quality.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE
All entries must be postmarked or date-stamped by AVAQMD staff no later than Thursday, August 21, 2008, 5:00 P.M.
